FleetEV and PLUG Charging Deliver Supplies to Firefighters Tackling Welsh Wildfires

FleetEV and PLUG Charging have delivered a van load of essential supplies to South Wales Fire & Rescue Service (SWFRS) to support crews tackling the wildfires currently affecting communities across Wales.

The delivery, made to SWFRS Headquarters (Pencadlys), included hydration packs, electrolyte supplements, energy drinks, isotonic sports drinks and high-protein food supplies, chosen in direct response to what crews said they needed most on the ground.

Firefighters across South Wales have been working extended shifts in record heat and full protective kit as wildfires spread across hillsides throughout the region. Staying hydrated and fuelled through those conditions is essential to keeping crews safe and operational.

FleetEV and PLUG Charging work closely with South Wales Fire & Rescue Service, having recently completed the installation of EV charging infrastructure across 42 of the service's stations.
