Founding Story

PLUG Charging was founded by Jarrad Morris, an entrepreneur with a long background in the automotive and mobility sector, who saw first-hand the scale of change required to transition the UK to electric vehicles. After spending years working within the vehicle and fleet industry, Jarrad recognised that electrification was not just about vehicles—it required a completely new infrastructure ecosystem to support businesses, public sector organisations and communities making the transition to zero-emission transport. PLUG Charging was created to help solve that challenge. The company focuses on delivering practical, scalable EV charging solutions, combining charging infrastructure with renewable energy technologies such as solar and battery storage. The goal is simple: make it easier for organisations to adopt electric vehicles while building infrastructure that is resilient, future-proof and sustainable. Today, PLUG Charging works with organisations across the UK to design, install and operate EV charging infrastructure that supports the rapid electrification of fleets and communities. At its core, the business is driven by a belief that the transition to electric mobility should be accessible, intelligent and built for the long term.
