PLUG Charging Secures Government Approval to Deliver EV Chargepoint Grants Across the UK

PLUG Charging, one of Wales' fastest-growing EV charging infrastructure businesses, has been approved by the UK Government's Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) as an Authorised Installer Representative, a status that allows businesses, landlords, homeowners and education institutions to access government chargepoint grants directly through PLUG.

The approval covers the full suite of OZEV residential and commercial chargepoint grant schemes:

• Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS): grants covering 75% of installation costs, capped at £500 per chargepoint socket, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations

• Workplace Charging Scheme for state-funded education institutions: enhanced support for schools, colleges and universities

• EV chargepoint grant for residential landlords: for rental and leasehold properties

• EV chargepoint grant for renters and flat owners

• EV chargepoint grant for households with on-street parking

For PLUG's customers, the practical benefit is simple: the grant is applied as a discount on the invoice, with PLUG handling the entire claim process on the customer's behalf, from voucher redemption through to photographic evidence and submission. Customers pay the net amount and PLUG recovers the grant directly from the Government.
