PLUG Charging Powers Up as First Sustainability Partner for Cardiff Dragons

Electric vehicle charging provider PLUG Charging has partnered with Netball Super League (NSL) team LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons for their 2025 season.

PLUG Charging is the first named sustainability partner for the team, supporting them with their green targets – a priority in the relaunched NSL.

The 2025 NSL has seen a host of new rules and regulations introduced to professionalise the league, including a super shot rule and home games being played in major arenas, with average player salaries increasing by at least 60%. Each club is also committing to sustainability, which the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons are following through with thanks to PLUG Charging.

PLUG Charging delivers electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions across Wales, including EV charger installations, lamp column chargers, roof solar, and solar car ports, complemented by their sister company FleetEV, which supports organisations in transitioning to electric vehicles through tailored leasing, salary sacrifice, and fleet solutions.

The Cardiff-based business has supported the team and Wales Netball for multiple years, with FleetEV sponsoring the Wales Netball National League for the last two seasons. As sustainability partners, they aim to cultivate a culture of responsibility and awareness within the team, from utilising sustainable materials for uniforms to minimising waste at events.
